After over two years of Ipsy I finally cancelled. Why? Well I want to start off by saying that I love it. I do actually enjoy getting beauty samples every month and I think Ipsy is the best way to go for that.
So the problem isn't that I don't enjoy it, it's actually that I have too much right now. Because we've been moving so much lately I needed to downsize everything, unfortunately that means, for the time being, cancelling ipsy. Along with that I will be cancelling Birchbox. John will be keeping Birchbox Man and I will be starting a new subscription, just the one- Pop Sugar Must Have. I have decided that this will be the best box to give me a nice treat every month as well as keep my collection of things at a minimum.
So What started this? Well, I was actually pretty satisfied until John started getting his Birchbox Man for $20 a month. The thing was, I realized I was more excited by the neat things in his box than my my beauty items. I realized I wanted something that would not only give me beauty items but also lifestyle, things for my home and for my well-being.
I think eventually I will want to get back into ipsy, my best friend has it so I'm sure it will make me jealous enough to resubscribe. For now I just need a break until I get settled into a more permanent place so I turned in my points for items and my last month for my annual subscription is October.
